My apologies! Dun tink i wanna update the rest of the Korea trip already. TOO LENGTHY LAH.

But be rest assured, i'll definitely complete the Hong Kong trip one at a go.

Gosh, it's been long since i last blogged for no apparent reason. And why am i doing so now?
CUZ I"M SO FREAKING SICK OF MUGGING ! Haha.

Physics, maths, chem, gp.......... I tink JC ppl are going nuts soon. With the memory of the recent A level results still haunting me, i dun tink i'll even dare slack off for a single bit. ARGHHHH, i hate A's !

HAHA, nor nor, i tink i can be ur mum's spy so u better treat me better yeah ! Lol.
Nor's mum : "How come she's always not at home?" "Do you want to go university huh? I tink if you go, eleanor will go also" "Do you all always go out together??"

Lol, maybe she tinks we're les. Lucky smart simin didnt tell her all the atrocities nor nor did. Like mahjong, basketball etc etc (anything but studying)

Guess i've to go back to mugging soon. The worse thing is, i'm going hong kong soon and i was supposed to clear as much detention as possible during this hols.

Gosh, how i dislike the pigmented species of human being. =(

ALAS, THE LONG AWAITED KOREA TRIP .................

Day 1
After the super duper long 7 hr plane ride, we were all damn sian la. And the worse thing was, the tour guide told us that the first day shopping spree is POSTPONED cuz dongdaemon wasn't open on the first day of new yr.

Hellish man, cuz we were all looking forward to this shopping spree =(

But it wasn't all that bad cuz we had GINDENG CHICKEN for dinner. WHOOPEE !! Look at the pic below, it's sizzling, aromatic and FANTASTIC. Haha, they actually stuffed glutinous rice into the chicken so after u finished the chicken and noodles, e remains will be kinda like porridge and it's BLOODY deeeeee-licious !!

GINSENG CHICKEN !!

Yup, as shown by the pic, we went to LOTTE world instead. It's kinda like an amusement park with both indoor and outdoor rides. The worse thing was, we cant go outdoor cuz it's extremely cold out there, i tink it was -3 degrees. Haha. So we ended up taking the NOT thrilling indoor rides, one of which is the merri-go-round as shown below.

WHOOOPEE, i know it's kiddy but this is the first time i sat on this kinda tingy. Haha, my mum took the ride too ! So spontaneous yeah?

First day ended on a very sian note cuz we were all tired out by the plane ride and LOTTE world was no fun when u only get to take te indoor rides =(

AND OH MI GOSH, there's soooooo many shuai ge la. (all with their girlfriends =( . Haha. And the ladies there had freaking good complexion and figure, even the MUMS)

Day 2

I dunno whr the hell is this place.

Anyway, the babe on the right is my cousin(sorry dudes, she's attached so dun ask for her no. ya? haha)

Lunch was this fired chicken/pork?? on a hotplate with loads of cabbage. Their cabbage is (ohmigosh) fantastically sweet and fresh man. Not like those in Singapore that looked like it has underwent a good deal of wilting.

As u can see above, we went to Nami Island. Winter Sonata was filmed here. The place is pretty la, but somehow, it's soooooo damn cold, we couldnt really enjoy ourselves.

Great place for the cam-whores.

Ice cream during winter is simply "whoohoo" haha. No sun to rush u to eat faster and u can basically take ur own sweet time la. Haha,

Oh yeah, and around this place, they've this barbeque-like pit with coals burning in it. Initially we thought it was for barbeque but later realised that u use tt to warm ur hands. Haha

Nice scenery yeah? Imagine, Bae-young-jun was once here at this exact place. LOL

This is the supposedly world reknown statue of the actors of winter sonata. I'm not quite if it's world reknown, i havent even heard of this before.

Leave this for 20 mins in Singapore and it's gonna be reduced to water.

DINNER !! We had dinner at this setting where dey call "ta ta me" sth like that? Haha. Some of the guys were so uncomfortable sitting down that they ended up squatting instead. Stiff legs. Lol.

Tell u what, the soup here is so damn nice that i forgo my rice in exchange for it. Really nice man.

Look at the windows, if u think it's condensation, think again. It's ice.

Day 3

We healthy people went to scale a mountain !! But dunno why, this buddha statue poped out of nowhere. Haha.

We were actually so sad that it wasnt snowing down at seoul but guess what, it started snowing rather heavily when we reached the mountains !! Haha. The snow is soooooo white and pretty, we actually looked like ingredients in a bowl of ice kacang when we sat there. Lol.

While scaling the mountains. Erm, we dun actually scale the mountain with ropes etc, but rather, using the steps. But honestly ar, i tink it's a super tough activity cuz the terrains is very slippery. And when u reached the top of the mountain, the sensation is horrid. Cuz the wind starts blowing, snow bits come flying and when it hits ur face, i dunno man, i tink i rather be slapped than hit by these snow bits.

WAHAHA. I LOVE THE SNOW.

Gosh, this place makes mount faber look like a dwarf and snow city like a fridge.

LUNCH !! This is where we ate our dinner yesterday. But this time round we have the rice with red sweet chilli and egg and vege etc, dunno wat it's called. And we even had the soup to go along ! Help, i'm in paradise. Haha.

Not only is it cold, the wind is strong too man.

That's the restaurant's name.

After lunch, we went to the hotel for hot spring. So, not much pics here.

Ohhhh man, the hot spring........ OHH MAN, everyone is stripped NAKED there la. I cant believe my sight man, loads of naked women bodies around. Haha. Okay, that's not the point.

Hmm, my experience of the hot spring..... i don't like it.

I mean, first it's WAY too hot that if u jump in immediately, u're gonna feel like a burnt sotong. (okay, i dunno how a burnt sotong feels) But the water is SCALDING hot la.

And after ten mins or so, u'll have to get out of the hot tub and jump into the cold one.

Ask mi how tt feels.

Tell u what (minus the embarrassment of walking to the cold tub) it still felt horrid. It's like needles poking through your skin and it's bloody pain ! Haha. My mum was saying "oh, that's good that's good !" Lol, at that point, i cant see the benefits of killing my cells like tt. I tink my cells are denatured from all that extreme change in Kelvins.

OHH let me introduce u to our beds !! It also called "ta ta me" !! Haha, guess wat, the floor is insulated by pipes. So it's really super warm and not uncomfortable at all !!

Refreshed from all the hot spring's "benefits". We're not using the excess energy to gamble ok. This is a mind bogging, intelligence testing card game.

Now, it's DINNER TIME ! This is the hotel lobby and as u can see, there's still a Christmas tree there. Apparently, the koreans have an ultra long Christmas? Or mayb Christmas mood ends when the snow melts? I dunno. Haha

SEAFOOD DINNER TONIGHT ! It looks good?? It's crap. Not nice at all. That's cuz we didnt order the special set, some of us ordered the special set and the pics are shown below.

I mean we're non-seafood lovers so why waste the money right? Damn, my cousin labelled us as second class. Basket.

Anyway, my mum ordered and the special set looks like this. U cant tell from the photos but the prawns are ALIVE. They're supposed to bite the prawns from the neck(do prawns have necks??) and kill them this way. yeah, as in eat the whole prawn except the head.

FINALE OF THE MEAL ! The stall keeper came in with this mini octopus held using a chopstick.

So stall keeper will come (octopus in one hand, scissors in the other) and grab hold of one of the tantacles, ask the customer to bite on to it and "snips" off it comes and u eat it raw. MIND YOU, the octopus is ALIVE while all this happens.

According to my mum, she tantacles actually applied a suction force on ur mouth. GROSS la.

IS the act of cruelty to marine creatures a responsibility of the SPCA?? I tink the koreans will be the first to be put behind bars. ( or mayb the japs?) But it's a gd experience, really.

Haha, poor prawns, waiting to be sent to the gallows. =(

And i forgot to mention, the restaurant is located by the sea, smack right in front of the 38th parallel. I dun tink i can show u ppl the photo cuz it's quite a distance away from land and it's alright dark so u cant see it.

The guide told us that in the past, if you set off firecrackers in this place after 9pm, North Korea will response to it by sending missiles over. Haha, i find it damn funny leh. I mean, the paranoia.

Day 4

LUNCH, this lunch is to give us enough energy for SKI ING later !!! But guess wat, that pot of soup, it's practically made of salt. Inedible. So we ended up eating seaweed with rice.

YEAH ! All geared up and ready to go ! Dun we all look like pros??

Anyway, at the shop where we rent the ski outfit, there's this damn cute guy *swoons*

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE !!

I've decided to blog about v'day first la, cuz this is definitely an eventful one with the REJECTS UNITED successful on bringing two blissful ppl together.

CONGRATS to our "fresh from the oven" to be couple HUIFENG and JIAQUAN.

Haha. Since hf's hardly online, i tink i can safely blog abt them without being murdered by her the next day. Anyway, jiaquan's soooooo sweet !!!

Recounting this morning :

Oh, we too have our share of flowers. But nothing as dramatic as hf's and jq's incident. That's the former joy luck club members gathering to take a photo of our flowers.

Currently, JLC is abolished with the formation of Rejects United which excludes miss cheng who is extremely NOT rejected and includes sister daniel.

Oh well, i did receive quite a fair bit of flowers too la. Special thanks to Charles, Gab and my dear sister. Not to forget ally MEL and Carrot (who sent but i didnt receive). Also, NOR NOR for the edible cookies and M&Ms. U can check it out in the picture above, it actually looks sooo pretty and she stayed up till 12 plus at mel's place to do it.

Haha, anyway, after school, we tried sooo hard to stop playing gooseberry cuz shy jq didnt dare ask hf out. So we tried ways and means to shake those 2 off so tt they can be alone.

Then mi nor and nuar went J8 to eat Ajisen. HAHA. It was so damn awkward cuz ALL the tables are filled with couples. We're the only few with 3 ppl. Hmm, valentine's day is quite eventful ya?

Oh yeah, not to forget. Flowers attracts stares from ppl, 3 ppl actually asked mi if i'm SELLING the flowers. Haha. Dun dey realise that the flowers are kinda wilting already?? Gosh.

ALSO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOSEPH who apparently has to work on his birthday. Dun be sad ya? At least u get paid on ur b'day =)

Anyway, i'll be updating the korea trip after i get ALL the photos. Sorry peeps u'll have to wait cuz i'm up to my eyeballs in homework and up to the top of my head with detentions. GOSH. I'll update on Sunday (i hope)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I'm not late okay, there's 12 days of Christmas by the way. Hmm, it's been long since i've last updated cuz i dun have pics ! A new post is gonna be so boring without pics to visualise. Haha. Anyway, we went to my dad's client's place (as usual) for Christmas countdown.

There wasn't many teens there so i juz stuck tgt with my ah kor. Lucky we went kinda late and left early, or i'll be soooo damn bored. Ohh, and my dad did weird tings again. He took 2 party hats, stucked them on his head and say tt he's grown horns. I dunno if he's drunk or juz plainly BEING HIM.

That's how we ended up taking pics with the hats.

My hp died on mi on Christmas ! Bad omen huh? Ended up using my kor's phone instead (check out the crappy piece of white machinery i'm holding)

Okay, this is the only photo i have of my colleague. Haha. That guy in the middle is called zheng sheng. Profile: 15 yrs and is taller than zhanqing. He's also seriously in need of zam bak application under the eyes.

Haha. WORK IS FUN ! Fun but tiring. 10am to 10pm everyday. For some reason, in the morning, everyone's in a daze/foul mood/ zombie-like. But when night falls huh.......... WHOO HOO, u see:

1)NEL sending infra red to ZHOU both of whom spoke with a strangely accurate indian accent
2) Nor, nel, zhou playing baseball with rolled up cardboard

3) Stocking up of ammunition in the pockets, in preparation for the war tt'll soon commence, thereby forming alliances. *the air reeks of suspicion, distrust and tension*

4) Locking up ppl in the fitting room and then pushing it

5) Not to forget the scene during dismissal. Stampede of elephants rushing towards the security table. *and the pink lady*

OHH HELL. Work sure is fun. Haha.

The worse thing is, school's gonna start soon. We're gonna be piled with the stress of A's, homework, tutorials etc etc. AND OH MI GOSH, PHYSICS.

If i get Ganesh again, i can seriously kiss good bye to my GP results. Also, Mr Ow............. SHEESH, i cant describe the degree of distress i'm feeling right now.

JOB HUNTING IS A COMPLETE FLOP !!!!!

Ohhhh well, after tennis today, i went for job hunting with ANOR.

We went down to Chinatown for a job briefing but ended up lost and late for 30mins. Hmm, but in the end, tt job is crap so we didnt sign up for it. LOL. But we met quite a few nice ppl who wouls MOST LIKEY NOT keep in touch with us.

Haha, the funny thing is, those ppl in charge kept talking to mi and anor cuz i was holding a tennis racket. Like, once they see the racket, they'll come and ask "playing tennis later huh?"
But that's not the point. The point is, we are JOBLESS !

Since we're at Chinatown aka "every glutton's paradise" we simply gotta eat there. Lol. And so, we went to people's park there to eat. BUT GUESS WHAT? We ended up eating some crap "SAI PENG aka shit rice". I mean, economic rice. We bought it cuz it's cheap la (considering i've only got 5 bucks) but the serving was sooooo small. *dang*

While we were eating, there's these 4 women sitting across us. Anor was saying, we may become those women when we grow up, spinsters who've nth better to do than go chinatown and eat dumplings. Lol. I SO DO NOT EVEN WANNA CONTEMPLATE THIS THOUGHT !
The first woman has short hair so tt'll be shuNUAR.
2nd women seems to be the most soft spoken amongst them, tt's hf.
3rd women is a fat goose with too much make up and talks the most, we both agreed tt she'll be ANOR.
And lastly, the one who keeps eating will be mi. (that doesnt make sense, i DONT keep eating ok)

Lesson learnt: DO NOT EVER EAT SAI PENG (or dumplings) AT CHINATOWN.

Erm, went to try our luck at AMK hub after that. But most of them turned us down cuz they're either hiring full time or we're too late =(
In the end, we managed to sign up for 3 stalls. One of which has super unfriendly staff, the other 2 are OKAY but i believe there's hardly any chance that we'll be getting a call back from them.

AWWW CRAP, and i thought the news said that Singapore's unemployment rate is decreasing/ economy is improving etc etc. I mean, able bodied, fun loving, pleasant looking and enthusiastic teenagers like us cant even find a job after a WHOLE DAY of scouting .

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, THIS IS CRAZY!

In the end i've to ask weihan for help, at least i'm not unemployed anymore. LOL. But i do suck at waitressing. *dang*

TUESDAY

It's a SUPER boring day yesterday cuz none of us can come up with anything to do. So in the end, mi and nor nor went to zq's hse so that nor can teach mi the art of MAKE UP.

Anyway, i never knew make up can be sooooo much like art. It was fun though, all the eye liner, mascara etc etc.

OHHHH yeah! Zhan Qing's eye is amazing. It's like u have to out 1 cm of eye liner in order for it to be seen cuz his eyelids will like ROLL IN one la. Sth like the screen that u pull down for OHP use. Haha, tt came as a shock to all of us.

Sooooooo, not much to talk abt for tt..... these are the pictures of the resulting pdt.

Oh yeah, and i styled my hair too.

After that we went online for job scouting. We are all in need of CASH!!!

Nor need $$ for her braces and i need $$ for tennis racket. BUT there's no luck in our hunt for job. Haha.

Tml gonna meet up with her to hunt for job AGAIN. dang. I hope we find one soon.

Okay, this week went well =)

Thursday

Nor, hf and i went to zq's hse to bake daniel's belated cake. It's sort of a disaster cuz we had to bake 3 layers of sponge cake.

Thr first layer is burnt.
2nd layer, we forgot the baking powder and cocoa powder.
3rd layer, we almost forgot the egg and sugar.
AND THE OREO 'LAO HONG'

Erm, the resulting product didnt seem that bad. In fact it taste wonderful!! *really. R-E-A-L-L-Y* Daniel, ah dai, JQ, hf, nor, my younger bros and me can vouch for this. RIGHT?

Friday

So we went to celebrate dan's and ah dai's belated b'day today. It was surprising cuz quite a lot came, despite the late notice. Haha. And off we went to eat PIZZA HUT cuz nor has a voucher for free regular pan pizza.

It was today that i realise singaporeans are DAMN KIASU. Haha. When the 'ocean's catch' pizza came, ALL OF THEM CHIONG FOR THE PRAWNS. And the pizza is stripped of prawns within a wink of the eye. *i mean literally* i blinked once and all prawns are gone. HAHA.
Lesson learnt: NEVER EVER blink when the food is served.

We were really into asshole daidi so they decided to come to my hse for card game. THAT WAS AN UTTER LIE!! Haha, they came and we played cards for say 30mins or less then they opt for volleyball, badminton and finally all of us went to play basketball. Cuz i tink volleyball is too dangerous since the ball kept goin to the road. (and with nor nor and mi tgt at the same place, I CANT IMAGINE WHAT CAN HAPPEN)

Oh, and JQ and AH DAI got lost on their way back cuz they were walking slowly WAY BEHIND. Thank goodness i found them cuz they were heading for a totally different direction when i foun them. I tink they'll end up near the shell place in the end. HAHA.
Stupid is as stupid does. Cant blame them huh? *okay, i so do not wish mr dai and mr gua to read my blog*

Overall, i guess they all agreed that today was fun. And they'll most likely return again soon for karaoke? *nor nor CONFIRM come one. My hse is the only place whr she can sing and need not pay for the broken glass that resulted* Not sure abt ah dai, he's rather introvert, daniel does sing chinese songs, hf doesnt sing 99.9% of the time, jq dun like singing. So it'll be NOR hogging on to the mike (which doesnt seem much promising)

OHH WELL, at least we had fun =)

SOS : ANYONE KNOW ANY FUN BONDING GAMES THAT CAN BE PLAYED DURING ORIENTATION???

Cant believe this, i skipped 2 days of school.

So disappointed in myself. BUT anyway, yesterday, i went to jiaquan's hse with AH NOR. Hell it was fun. Haha, as usual, NOR NOR suggested weird stuff like making pancakes (from instant mix, of course). Okay, this is how it went. .....

The 1st pancake was a DISASTER. Maybe because it was cooked by the combined effort of nor nor and i so....... *i said MAYBE ok* Er, i tink the fire wasn't strong enough and we shouldn've added oil. ANYWAYS, it ended up burnt and SUPER not smooth, an uncanny resemblence to roti prata. Erm, nor ate most of it.

Thanks to the first incident, jiaquan ended up doing the rest of the work. As shown on the picture below, the pancakes are a MILLION times better than what we made.

oh, forgot to mention, jiaquan prepared a fire extinguisher right BESIDE the stove just in case sth unfortunate happens to his hse. (like what will ever happen???)

Hmm, this is the first time i've uploaded a video, dunno if it works. It's on him cooking the pancakes, the way he handles the pan and all that, i'll take my hat off him.

Ohh, after that, it's fusion frenzy and card games and uno stacko.... not much to say about that la. And i learnt a super fast way to fold clothes. LOL. cool huh?

Chionging HANA YORI DANGO today and i've FINISHED. YES!!! It's super touching but, the chinese one seems nicer by A BIT.

I'M SO SAD LAH!!!

DUN WANT MR SIM TO LEAVE!!! He's really the best teacher ever man, always looking out for us, helping us and being SO understanding (this trait is almost extinct in recent years).

Okay, i sound like some spoilt, whiny kid. But it's been great for him to answer this higher calling of an educator. I mean, throughout this one year, he has been more than an educator, he's a teacher, a friend, a father and a joy to our teenager lives. *sob sob*
SO GONNA MISS YOU !
*despite those cockroaches scaring the hell out of mi in your car*
Seriously, that car of yours need some cleaning.

YUMMY FOOD!!! Mr Sim treated us to ANYTHING at CHOMP CHOMP. Er, in the above picture, we were supposed to take photo with the CHOMP CHOMP sign but somehow, we ended up blocking it. haha!

I wanted to rush home for HEROES. But after 1 hour of that, i almost fell asleep. Damn, HEROES is crap. Lol. *now, where did i hear this??*

Oh yeah, let mi explain the cockroaches. Er, it happens that Mr Sim's car is INFESTED with those little pests. They were crawling all over the car!! Okay, that's an overstatement. I saw 2 on the car but i bet u, there's bound to be more. And the worse part is, i screamed and LITERALLY jumped out of the car, while it was moving. Haha. But still, at least we get a free car ride =)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY YOUNGER BRO!!!!

He's finally 9. Sheesh.

Anyway, today is super boring. Stay home majority of the time and all i did was watch tv and design the shoes. Hmm, and i ran out of fabric paint, how nice. And my dad insisted on the colours being red on one side and yellow on the other. I was like errrrrrrrrrrrrrr, U SURE??? But still, he's unique in his own way. I'll obliged. When i'm done with the design, i'll post the pic. Try to picture this, one red and one yellow *eww??*

WHY DOES ART FRIEND HAVE TO LOCATE SO FAR AWAY!!!

Okay, today didn't turn out well firstly, my mum and my dad quarrelled and i was so pissed off with my mum that mi and her quarrelled. Then, my bros quarrelled. I tink soon, the tortises will quarrel too. EVERYONE will quarrel. WTHeck.

Hmm, at least tml will turn out better. I mean, mr sim's giving us a treat, it has to turn out right, RIGHT? Haha. He's the best man. Best of the best.

Most importantly, ALL THE BEST to SHU NUAR, ZHAN QING, WINNIE, SUGI and all the rest who are taking 'S' paper tml. DONT WORRY, U ALL CAN DO IT ONE!!!!
